Goalkeeper/Foward (1985-1988)

Steve was a four-year letterman in soccer at St. Mary's. He played goalkeeper his first two seasons, leading the team to a .83 goals­ against-average in district play and more victories (11) than any team since 1980.

In his junior and senior seasons, he moved to forward, scoring 24 goals in that span and earning All­-Conference honors both seasons as a forward in 1987 and 1988. As a junior he led the team in scoring with 13 goals and was second in scoring as a senior with 11 goals. The team claimed two NAIA District IV titles in his four years.

Steve graduated cum laude with a degree in business administration. He later earned a law degree from Baylor University School of Law.
