St. Mary's Athletics Hall of Fame
Ricky Hooker was a three-time All-American for the Men's Basketball team, earning Third-Team honors as a sophomore in 1981, and First-Team nods as a junior and senior. He was the Big State Player of the Year as a senior in 1983 and a three-time First-Team All-Big State selection. In his 113 games, which is the sixth most in the NAIA era, he scored 2,114 points with 602 rebounds, becoming only the fifth player in school history to score over 1,000 points with over 500 rebounds. His 2,114 points ranks second all-time at St. Mary's, while his 18.71 points per game ranked third at his graduation. Hooker owns the all-time record with 920 field goals made and 1,644 field goals attempted. His .590 field goal percentage ranks third among NAIA players.
