Bio
A key catalyst behind a 24-game winning streak for the St. Mary’s Women’s Basketball team, Natalie Gamez helped the Rattlers to three NCAA regional appearances, a pair of Heartland Conference Tournament championships and a pair of Heartland Conference regular-season titles. Gamez’s name is still littered all over the St. Mary’s record books, including owning records for the most three-pointers and free throws made. She is still the No. 4 all-time scoring leader, ranks third in free-throw percentage, eighth in assists and ninth in rebounding. She also holds both the No. 8 and 9 spots in single-season scoring. For her amazing efforts on the court, Gamez was named the Heartland Conference Player of the Year as a junior and topped it with an All-American certificate as a senior. She was a three-time All-Conference performer and in 2011 was inducted into the National Hispanic Sports Hall of Fame.

Currently
Gamez is currently president of The Gamez Group - Texas Medicare Solutions, an agency devoted to serving the senior citizens of San Antonio. She has taken her passion for helping others by creating a business that specializes in providing Medicare health insurance to the underserved areas of the community, specifically the Westside of San Antonio. She is consistently one of the top sales agents for several leading insurance carriers and has been named the Agent of the Year each of the last four years.

Quote
“At St. Mary's University, I felt like I was part of a family. At St. Mary's, you are not a number — you matter. From the smaller classroom settings to a supportive athletic culture, I always felt like I belonged. I was surrounded by my sisters. In fact, to this day my teammates and I are still best friends. We made several memories together, but I think the most defining moment was my junior year when we went on a 24-game winning streak. Ever since then, we have been bonded. Now, as adults we turn to each other for everything, from our professional careers to motherhood. I felt like I was part of a family then, and still do to this day.”
