Bio
Dausin took both the men’s and women’s tennis teams to uncharted heights during her career. A three-sport athlete (basketball, softball, tennis) for the Rattlers, she earned her bachelor's degree in 1979, returning to take over the men's and women's tennis programs in fall 2011, where she went on to win the Heartland Conference Coach of the Year award eight times, as well as the ITA South Central Region Coach of the Year award four times. Dausin won 138 matches on the women's side and 94 on the men's side, also beating cancer during her tenure. She is the career record holder for coaching victories in both genders. The men ranked in the top 50 final rankings four times, while the women did so seven times, including a final ranking of No. 6 in 2018. The women’s team won the final seven conference championships in the now-defunct Heartland Conference.

Currently
Since retiring, Dausin has become a “true” coach’s wife, since her husband, Bryan, failed retirement and has had stops at Texas Lutheran, Antonian Prep and now Trinity. She still has her hand in, coaching private lessons and clinics to all age groups. Dausin and her husband are also enjoying being CoCo and PoPo, their family’s code words for Grandmother and Grandfather.

Quote
“First and foremost, it was a ‘homecoming’ and a big check off my ‘bucket list’ in life. Secondly, it was my way of giving back to the University that gave me so much as a student-athlete. I felt as if God honored that intention by gifting me beyond anything I could have ever imagined. The players we were blessed with and the success that we experienced, I will always believe was heaven-sent. I had the opportunity to be a part of the transformation of our tennis facilities (something in the works way before I arrived) and enjoy the pride that it brought to our players, not to mention the enthusiasm of our recruits. I got to work alongside incredible coaches and athletic staff, and the University Administration that I now cherish as lifelong friends. St. Mary's is such a special University, and I am just so proud that I got to start my education and end my career here.”
