BIO:
Griffin — or griff, as she was called back in her playing days — was and is the program’s “first-ever” in so many ways. Of course, Erin’s most lasting impact on the program is her 20-year reign as the Rattlers’ all-time leading scorer with 1,642 points and 10-year atop the leaderboard with 895 rebounds. And she did it on squads that paved the way for the Rattlers’ postseason success in the NCAA. Erin’s four years of play also left her with incredible benchmarks for the program as she became the school’s first NCAA All-American, Her All-American season as a sophomore also led to the program’s first-ever Heartland Conference Championship and a trip to the NCAA Tournament, where she helped advance the Rattlers to the round of 32 — you guessed it, for the first time. In her very next season, she once again earned All-American status, becoming the program’s only player to achieve the honor twice. Her junior season saw her crowned the Heartland Conference champion, providing her with her most memorable moment in her four years of play. Erin’s clutch buzzer-beater for the Conference Championship to make the Rattlers back-to-back champs is just one highlight in her well-lit career. Throughout her tenure, Erin’s slew of awards came in at such a rapid pace, their frequency and quantity support her stance as one of the program’s greatest players, remaining atop the record books in numerous categories to this day.
