With more than twice the total of individual tournament titles than any other Rattler, it is no surprise Jillian Wyne becomes the first Women’s Golfer to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. In 23 career tournaments, Wyne won 11 and placed in the top 10 in 19, finishing her career with a 79.61 scoring average. She was a two-time All-American in 2002-2003 in the sport’s second and third seasons at St. Mary’s. Wyne ended her junior season ranked 12th in the nation and was No. 3 as a senior, helping lead the team to a sixth-place finish at the NCAA Championship. She won the NCAA Regionals with a three-round total of 233 as a senior after finishing second in the same competition as a junior. She was also a force in the classroom, earning WGCA All-American Scholar honors in 2002, one of the toughest Academic awards to win among coaches’ associations.

After graduating, Wyne played professional golf for six years and remains active in the golf community, teaching juniors. She and her family reside in Calgary, Alberta, Canada where she works in community engagement.
Quote:
“Being from Canada, the community feel of St. Mary’s made being far from home much easier. I immediately felt a sense of belonging being part of the Rattler family. Even with the amount of travel I had with golf tournaments, I felt completely supported by all my professors. Playing a sport I love while getting a great education was an incredible experience. Not to mention the lifelong friendships I made with my teammates. I look back on my days at StMU with fondness and pride.”
