Center Field (1987-1991)
Jennifer Zapalac-Lezak wasa highlight for the St. Mary’s softball program, earning All-American honors for each of her four seasons. She led the team in hitting each of her four years, hitting a career high .466 in her first season and still holds the record for highest career batting average at .433 (264-610).
Over the span of her career, she stole 76 bases and scored 189 runs, which still ranks second in the Record Books. She holds the No. 2 rank for career triples at 19 and holds the top three records for single-season batting average. In 1989, she struck out just one time in 180 at-bats. Zapalac-Lezak guided the team to 138 wins in four years.
