Women's Golf finishes 9th at MSU Invitational

WICHITA FALLS, Texas — Sitting in 10^th place after Monday's showing, St. Mary's Women's Golf ended the Midwestern State Invitational in a tie for 9^th with fellow Heartland Conference member Rogers State Tuesday with a total team score of 676.

Midwestern State was the overall winner of its home competition with a combined score of 617, but Glory Jangthongsiri of West Texas A&M was the overall champion firing a two-day total of 151.

Haley Keller (Jr., Pflugerville, Texas) retained her place as the best Rattler finisher in 38^th place with an 84 to bring her two-day total to 166.

With the best round for the Rattlers Tuesday, Allison Howarth (RS-So., San Antonio) carded an 82 to finish with a total of 168, to tie for 41^stplace. Two strokes off of Howarth in a tie for 45^th was Kelly Contreras (Fr., San Antonio) who turned in a second round 87 for an overall 170 after two days.

Bailey Furgeson (Sr., Newcastle, California) and Paola Diaz-Portela (Fr., San Juan, Puerto Rico) ended in a tie for 54^th after both shooting two-day totals of 175. The senior carded a 90 and the freshman turned in a 92 on Tuesday's final round.

The Rattlers will return to action on Monday, March 30 when they travel to the Dallas Baptist Invitational at Tangleridge Golf Club in Grand Praire, Texas.
