2015-2016 (Sophomore): In her second season, started in five tournaments, playing 10 rounds, posting a scoring average of 84.40 ... Her best finish of the year was 26th in the Lady Rattler Invitational where she shot a season best 80 in the second round.

2014-2015 (Freshman): Played in 20 rounds over 10 tournaments in her first year of collegiate play, recording a scoring average of 86.55 … Best finish on the season was her first-ever collegiate tournament at the Angelo State Concho River Classic where she finished tied for 23^rd place … Lowest round on the season was 77 at the Western New Mexico Fall Intercollegiate. 

Previous: High school had no golf team ... Played under coach Jason Tobar for the Puerto Rico Golf Association, earning the Sportsmanship award … Represented Puerto Rico in the Callaway Junior World Championships in San Diego, Calif. … Also competed in the V and VII Copa de Campeones, an event between Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic, as well as the USGA State Team championship … Off the course, was a member of the National Honor Society. 

Personal: Parents are Rafael Diaz and Pilar Portela … Has one sister, Patricia … Sister Patricia plays tennis at the University of Puerto Rico and two of her cousins play baseball for Delaware State University and tennis for Seton Hall University … Majoring in biology.
