NORMAN, Okla. — The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) has announced both the Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars and the PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Awards and St. Mary's University Men's Golf was honored on both teams.

The Rattlers were one of eight Division II teams to have at least five golfers named to the Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars team, the highest total of Lone Star Conference teams, and they were one of 26 teams presented the Presidents' Special Recognition in the PLATFORM Golf Team award for having better than a 3.5 average team GPA.

To be eligible for the Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically. In addition, they must participate in 50% of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 78.0 in NCAA Division II, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university. To qualify for the PLATFORM Golf Team award, a team must have a 3.00 or better team GPA for the 2025-26 school year.

Elijah Galvan (Austin, Texas), Philip Hallström (Gävle, Sweden), Kongpop Kaikaew (Rayong, Thailand), Guillaume Paquette (La Minerve, Quebec) and Baptiste Touchard (Saint-Agathon, France) were all honored on the All-America Scholar team.

The 2025-26 team is the first in school history to have five golfers named to the team, as the 2022 and 2023 clubs both had four honored.
