SAN ANTONIO — Seven St. Mary's University Golfers were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team, the association announced, combining excellence on the links and in the classroom.
The Women's Team had four honorees in
Brielle Burns (Houston),
Sabree Lefebvre (Riverview, Fla.),
Sophia Perkins (Sydney, Australia), and
Taylor Wilczek (Anthem, Ariz.), while
Kongpop Kaikaew (Rayong, Thailand),
Guillaume Paquette (La Minerve, Quebec) and
Baptiste Touchard (Saint-Agathon, France) represent the men's team.
Kaikaew and Touchard are repeat selections to the At-Large team, while Burns, Lefebvre, Perkins, Wilczek and Paquette are all first-time winners.
In her first year with the Rattlers, Burns has earned Lone Star Commissioner's Honor Roll twice, was the Lone Star Newcomer of the Year and a First-Team All-Conference selection and led the Rattlers in four of the team's 12 tournaments. Burns is majoring in engineering science and posted a perfect 4.0 GPA in both semesters.
Lefebvre is a four-time selection to the Commissioner's Honor Roll and was named to the WGCA All-Academic team a season ago. In 2026, the sophomore marketing major finished in the top 25 in five of the 12 tournaments throughout the season.
Perkins, who also joined the team in the fall as a sophomore Psychology major, earned Commissioner's Honor Roll both semesters. She took part in 11 of the 12 tournaments, finishing in the top 25 four times.
Wilczek recently earned WGCA First-Team All-America honors after finishing as the runner-up at the NCAA Championship. She led the team in eight of the 12 tournaments, placing in the top 10 eight times. The junior exercise & sport science major led the club with four eagles, five rounds in the 60s and a 73.59 stroke average, as well as earning LSC First-Team All-Conference honors and Commissioner's Honor Roll in both semesters.
Kaikaew, who was recently named a Third-Team All-American by the GCAA, finished in the top 25 in eight of the 10 tournaments he played and placed in the top 10 six times. The Lone Star Conference Golfer of the Year collected nine rounds in the 60s in the 29 he completed and had 18 rounds of par or better. He won two tournaments in his final season and holds the school individual low round record of 62, earning a degree in marketing in May.
Paquette recently concluded his sophomore season and is working on a degree in management. He finished in the top 10 in four of the 11 tournaments, ending the year second on the team in both eagles (3) and rounds shot in the 60s (6). Paquette was named to the Lone Star All-Conference Second Team and to the GCAA South Central All-Region team.
Touchard wrapped up his career being tabbed to the CSC All-District team for the second-straight year. He earned his bachelor's degree in finance & risk management, as well as placing in the top 10 in three of 11 tournaments in his final campaign. Throughout his career, Touchard won three tournaments, finished in the top 10 11 times, and averaged 73.13 strokes through 96 rounds of competition.
The CSC Academic All-District® At-Large Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined accomplishments in competition and in the classroom. The at-large program includes sports such as golf, lacrosse, swimming and diving, wrestling, skiing, beach volleyball and other NCAA championship sports not recognized through sport-specific Academic All-America® programs. Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot, with those selections scheduled to be announced later this summer.
