RICHARDSON, Texas — First-Team All-American. National Runner-up. All-Conference. All-Tournament. Those are all titles attributed to St. Mary's University Women's Golfer
Taylor Wilczek, and today she can add Lone Star Conference Golfer of the Week for the first time in her storied career.
Wilczek earned the weekly honor after she carded rounds of 74, 66 and 71 to win the DBU Classic by three strokes at par-72 Dallas Athletic Club in Dallas, Texas. It was the first collegiate title at StMU for Wilczek, who finished five-under (211) in the field of 75 golfers. Her second round (-6) was the lowest of the tournament. The Anthem, Arizona senior entered the final round tied for the lead and birdied two of her final three holes to secure the victory. She was the NCAA Division II runner-up last season and tied the course record at the LSC Championship.
