•   The No. 11 St. Mary's Women's Golf team hosts the 24th annual Rattler Invitational at The Dominion Country Club on Monday and Tuesday.
•   West Texas A&M is the three-time defending champion at the Rattler Invitational, while St. Mary's last won the tournament in 2021. Last season, senior Libby Kilbride finished second with the fifth-lowest 54-hole total in tournament history, a 215, while WT's Lorenza Perini won the tournament with an all-time low round of 208.
•   The lowest single round in tournament history is a 64 by Haley Haught from St. Edward's in 2014, while DBU holds the team lowest round with a 287 in 2020.
•   The Rattler Invitational will consist of teams from Angelo State, Cameron, Colorado Christian, Lubbock Christian, #29 Midwestern State, Odessa, Northwestern Oklahoma State, Southern Arkansas, #38 Texas A&M International, Texas A&M-Kingsville, UT-Permian Basin, #17 UT Tyler, Washburn, #12 West Texas A&M, and Western New Mexico.
•   The Rattlers lineup for the tournament will be: Savannah Dupre (1), Libby Kilbride (2), Taylor Wilczek (3), Orla O'Leary (4), and Gladys Taboada (5). Sabree Lefebvre and Madalyn Trevino will compete as individuals.
•   The weather for the tournament is forecast to be sunny both days with highs in low 70s. Winds will be out of the south 8-10 mph with less than a 10 percent chance of precipitation.Â
•   The four Rattlers who have competed in all six tournaments this season are separated by only 21 strokes (1.3 strokes per round). Libby Kilbride has collected 1,174 shots through 16 rounds (73.38), while Savannah Dupre is one shot behind with 1,175 (73.44). Orla O'Leary stands with 1,193 strokes (74.56) and Taylor Wilczek is two strokes off her total with 1,195 (74.69).
•   St. Mary's is coming off a shortened tournament at The Southern Invite, where they tied for third place with a two-round total of 593. Sophomore Savannah Dupre tied for second place overall with a 142. She shot a 73 in the opening round and tallied a three-under-par 69 in the second round.
•   The Rattlers opened the spring by bringing home the team title at the Jack Brown Memorial, while senior Orla O'Leary won individual medalist honors on a playoff. O'Leary carded a 152 (75-77) to win the first title of her career. She was named the Lone Star Conference Golfer of the Week for her efforts.
•   The other five Rattlers all finished in the top 25 in the field at the Jack Brown as Savannah Dupre and Libby Kilbride tied for 11th (159), Taylor Wilczek tied for 14th (160), Sabree Lefebvre tied for 17th (162) and freshman Gladys Taboada tied for 22nd (164) in the first tournament of her collegiate career.
•   The Rattlers moved to 11th in the nation this week in the Scoreboard by Clippd rankings. The team is 60-7-2 overall with a weighted average of 37,83. In the latest WGCA rankings, St. Mary's are ranked eighth.
