Six Golfers Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

SAN ANTONIO — One day after earning Lone Star Conference Scholar-Athlete honors, St. Mary's University senior Rebecca Reed leads a contingent of six golfers on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District At-Large team.
 
Joining Reed on the At-Large teams are Libby Kilbride, Orla O'Leary and Estelle Beck-Dixon for the women and Tanner Lundgren and Sebastian Tannum Donaldson for the men.
 
In addition to Lone Star Scholar-Athlete, Reed, a senior from Midland, Texas, has also earned Second-Team All-American by the WGCA. Reed capped a fantastic career with a stellar fifth year. She finished in the top 25 of 11 of the 12 tournaments she competed in, including four top-10 placings. Her 73.73 stroke average led the Rattlers, and she was named the Lone Star Conference Academic Golfer of the Year for the second straight season. Reed graduated with a bachelor's degree in marketing and is working on a Master of Jurisprudence.
 
Kilbride, a junior from Sheffield, England, tied for 23rd place over the first 54 holes at the NCAA Championship and was 1-1-1 in medal match play, helping the Rattlers to their runner-up finish. Kilbride tied for the team lead with four top-10 finishes during the season and was in the top 25 in eight of the 12 tournaments. She carried a 74.27 stroke average for the year and tied for the team lead with three eagles. Kilbride is pursuing a degree in communication studies and collected a perfect 4.0 GPA during the spring.
 
O'Leary, a junior from Galashiels, Scotland working on a degree in international business, won all three of her matches in medal match play at the NCAA Championship and finished in the top 25 in eight of the 12 tournaments during the year. She posted six rounds of par or better and was third on the team with 396 pars throughout the season. Her best finish of the year was when she tied Reed for fifth at the Jack Brown Memorial Invitational to kick off the spring season.
 
Beck-Dixon wrapped up her stellar five-year campaign with the Rattlers this season. The grad student from Lakeway, Texas finished in the top 25 in four of her 11 tournaments and had the season-low round for the team, shooting a 67 in the second round of the DBU Women's Classic in September. She wraps up her career tied for fourth in St. Mary's history with 16 rounds of par. Beck-Dixon is working on her MBA after graduating with a bachelor's degree in marketing.
 
Tannum Donaldson, a senior from Seer Green, Buckinghamshire, England, wrapped up his standout career ranked 10th in St. Mary's history with 27 rounds of par or better. The finance & risk management major posted a 4.0 GPA in his final semester. During his final season, he placed in the top 25 in four of 10 tournaments with a 74.03 stroke average and posted the low round of the year with 67.
 
Lundgren also concluded a stellar career with the Rattlers, finishing sixth in StMU history with 34 rounds of par or better. He had two top-25 finishes in 10 tournaments and had a 74.62 stroke average. He tied for the team lead with three eagles and posted 300 pars in his final year. Lundgren graduated with a bachelor's degree in exercise and sport science in May.
