DUNCAN, Okla. – The St. Mary's University Men's Golf team is tied for fourth place at the Hrnciar, hosted by Cameron at the Territory Golf and Country Club after 36 holes.
The Rattlers are 10-under-par through two rounds and are knotted with Midwestern State. The two clubs are eight shots off the lead by Pittsburg State, while UT Permian Basin is in second place, fourth shots back from the Gorillas and DBU is third.
Freshmen
Daniel Levy (Johannesburg, South Africa) and
Matthew Lewis (Arlington, Texas) are both tied for seventh place at four-under-par. Levy posted identical rounds of 70, while Lewis shot an even-par 72 in the opening round and followed it up with a 68.
Senior Philip Hallstrom (Gavle, Sweden) was under par in both rounds and is tied for 13th place with 141 strokes (70-71).
Junior
Zach Seader (Bulverde, Texas) is competing as an individual and is tied for 28th place after firing rounds of 71 and 72, while freshman
Fabrizio De Abreu (Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa) jumped nine spots during the afternoon with a round of 71 after scoring a 74 in the morning and is tied for 38th with 145 strokes. Junior
Elijah Galvan (Austin, Texas) rounds out the team in a tie for 70th place with 152 strokes (77-75).
StMU will be teamed with golfers from Pittsburg State, UTPB and DBU for the final round on Tuesday. The quartets will begin on holes one through four at 8 a.m., while Seader will tee off from hole 18 with golfers from Blinn, Cameron, and Garden City Community.
