SAN ANTONIO — St. Mary's University junior
Luke Mulkey highlights a trio of Men's Soccer players on the 2024 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team. The teams were announced on Tuesday, Nov. 19.
Mulkey, the Lone Star Conference Defensive Player of the Year, becomes only the second Rattler to earn All-District honors twice in his career, joining Jack Wolf (2014-2015). The junior from Parker, Texas, played every minute of the season at center back, helping hold opponents to 0.80 goals per game.
Joining Mulkey on the team are senior
Bradley Greene and junior
Johnny Thurbin, who were both named to the Lone Star All-Academic team last week.
Greene, a senior defender from Essex, England, will graduate with an exercise and sport science degree in May. He played in 69 games, starting 53 for the Rattlers with seven goals and three assists, kicking four game-winners throughout his career.
Thurbin, who, in addition to making the All-Academic team, was the Lone Star Conference Goalkeeper of the Year, is pursuing a degree in finance & risk management. He ranks nationally in goals against average (0.79), saves (.802), shutouts (9) and minutes played (1820).
