AMARILLO, Texas — The mark of a good team is when anyone can step up on a given day and lead the way and that is what the St. Mary's University Women's Golf team has shown through the first three tournaments of the fall.

At the WT Fall Invitational, where the Rattlers finished in fifth place, junior
Orla O'Leary (Galashiels, Scotland) led the team with her 12th-place finish and a three-round total of 224 (70-76-78). O'Leary was one-over-par on the par-3s at La Paloma Golf Club, tying for the fourth-best stroke average in the field.

The Rattlers shot a 908 (295-306-307) over the two days, finishing 24 shots behind champion and host, West Texas A&M (287-299-298=884). Midwestern State, Odessa College and Oklahoma Christian rounded out the top five teams, while MSU's Alli Reily won individual medalist honors with her 212 (71-68-73) on the par-71 course.

Estelle Beck (Lakeway, Texas) tied for 30th place after posting a final round of 78 for a tournament total of 230 (74-78-78). Beck recorded 29 pars over the 54 holes.

Rebecca Reed (Midland, Texas) and junior
Libby Kilbride (Sheffield, England) tied for 35
th place after both turned in 231. Kilbride finished sixth in the tournament with 35 pars, tying O'Leary for the fourth-best stroke average on par-3s in the field. Reed was one-under-par on the par-5s, averaging 4.89 per hole.

Freshman
Savannah Dupre (Boerne, Texas) fired a 79 on the final day, bouncing back from her first 80+ round to tie for 47th place with a 234 total (72-83-79). She was the lone Rattler to record an eagle in the tournament.

Junior
Madalyn Trevino (San Antonio) competed as an individual for the Gold and Blue, placing in a tie for 78th place. She shaved one stroke off her first two rounds to card an 83 on Tuesday and end with a 251 (84-84-83).

The Rattlers finish up the fall portion of their schedule on Oct. 16-17 at the MSU Women's Fall Invitational at the Wichita Falls Country Club.
