RICHARDSON, Texas — After helping lead the St. Mary's University Women's Golf team to the title at the Midwestern State Fall Invitational, freshman
Savannah Dupre was named to the Lone Star Conference Co-Golfer of the Week, earning the award for the first time in her career.
After Olivia Mitchell of Dallas Baptist and Dupre each carded red-hot final rounds of 68 to finish tied at 217, Mitchell outlasted Dupre in a three-hole playoff to win the individual title while Dupre's play helped fuel a team crown. The 68-stroke third rounds by each set a MSU Invitational record and the pair's one-over 217 were the best 54-hole marks for the event. Dupre tied the St. Mary's record for lowest round shot by a freshman as she helped the Rattlers to the team win.
The event concluded the fall season for the Rattlers.
