TUCSON, Ariz. – Shaving 12 strokes off their first round, the St. Mary's Women's Golf team climbed six places from 12th to sixth at the WT Desert Invitational at the Lodge at Ventana Canyon on Tuesday.

The Rattlers totaled a 309 on day two and finished the final regular season tournament with a 630.Â

Junior
Rebecca Reed (Midland, Texas) led the team for the second-straight tournament, tying for eighth place with a 151 (77-74). Senior
Sofia Ruescas (San Sebastián de los Reyes, Spain) tied for 16th with a 153 (79-74), while junior
Estelle Beck (Lakeway, Texas) tied for 42nd after carding identical rounds of 81.

Megan Sells (San Antonio) cut four shots off her first-round total, knotting for 52nd with a 164 (84-80) and San Antonio freshman
Madalyn Trevino placed 77th with a 171.

The next tournament for the Rattlers will be the Lone Star Conference Championship, April 20-23 in Glen Rose, Texas at the Squaw Valley Golf Course.
