Dixon and Lundgren Earn All-Conference Honors

GLEN ROSE, Texas – The Lone Star Conference announced its annual awards at the Men's Golf pre-championship banquet on Sunday evening and St. Mary's had two named to the All-Conference teams.
 
Ryan Dixon, a senior from Blackhall Colliery, England earned First-Team honors, while sophomore Tanner Lundgren (San Antonio) was tabbed on the Second Team.
 
Dixon was a Second-Team All-Conference pick and a PING South Central All-Region selection a season ago and earned the First-Team nod this season after eight top 25 finishes in nine tournaments. He currently has a 72.04 per round average and has shot par or better 12 times this season. His low round of 67 came just last tournament in the first round of the DBU Men's Classic.
 
Lundgren has finished in the top-25 in seven of the team's nine tournaments this year and leads the team with 13 par or better rounds. His season stroke average is 72.88 and he's tied for the team lead with seven rounds in the 60s. Lundgren shaved over three strokes off his round average from his freshman campaign and twice this year has been the top StMU finisher at a tournament.
 
Dixon, Lundgren and the rest of the Rattlers begin play at their second Lone Star Conference Championship on Monday with the first round set to tee off at 8 a.m. at the Squaw Valley Golf Course.
