SAN ANTONIO – The Division 2 Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) announced the Men's Soccer All-Region teams on Tuesday and St. Mary's had six players honored on either the First or Second Team.

Deni Cresto,
Andrick Ferrer,
Andre Schlaefli and
Lewis Wilson were all tabbed to the First Team, while
Ariel Cardozo and
Cian Foley were named to the Second Team. The Rattlers led all teams with six selections on the South Central Region team. UCCS was second with four picks, while both Colorado School of Mines and Colorado State-Pueblo each had three.

Cresto, a senior midfielder from Curitiba, Parana, Brazil leads the Lone Star Conference with eight assists, which ranks 23rd nationally. He was named to the Lone Star All-Conference First Team for the second time in his career earlier this season after earning LSC Scholar-Athlete of the Year last spring.

Ferrer is a sophomore from Buffalo, N.Y., who scored his third goal of the year in the team's NCAA Second Round victory over Midwestern State. He also has three assists and was a First-Team All-Conference pick, as well as being named to the LSC All-Tournament team.

A junior from Katy, Texas, Schlaefli was named the league's goalkeeper of the year, allowing only five goals in over 1500 minutes of play. He currently has a save percentage of 90.6, which ranks second nationally and he's tied for the lead in all of Division II with 12 shutouts.

Wilson, a senior from Aberdeen, Scotland, anchors the back line for the Rattlers earning himself both Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year honors by the Lone Star coaches. He's also scored four goals to tie for the team lead and is 1-for-1 in penalty kicks.

The conference's Newcomer of the Year, Cardozo (Ciudad de Este, Paraguay) has three goals on the year, two of which have been game winners and an assist despite being a defender.Â

Foley, who hails from Wexford, Ireland, is fifth on the team with eight points (three goals, two assists) despite missing time at the beginning of the year. He was named to the All-Conference First Team and has one game winner.

The four first-team selections will all be forwarded to the All-America ballot, which will be announced late in November.
