ARLINGTON, Texas – The No. 10 St. Mary's Women's Golf team held steady in third place to wrap up the 2021 Lone Star Conference Championships on Wednesday. In the final round of the tournament at the Texas Rangers Golf Club, the Rattlers carded a 292, giving them a tournament total of 870 (287-291-292).
No. 1 DBU claimed the top spot in the tournament, shooting 841 (-23). Texas A&M-Commerce, the seventh-ranked team in the country finished second, shooting 852 (-12).
With a final round 72,
Sofia Ruescas finished in seventh place. Ruescas finished with a tournament total of 212 (68-72-72).
Rebecca Reed went one-under-par in her final round, her second round of 71 in the tournament. Reed finished in a tie for 14th with a 218 (71-76-71).
Monica Dibildox carded a four-over 76 in the final round, giving her a three-round total of 220 (73-71-76) for the tournament.
Estelle Beck finished in a tie for 28th after shooting 76 in the third round. Beck shot 75-73 in the first and second rounds for a total of 224.
Megan Sells played her best round of the tournament on day three, shooting two-over 73, jumping five spots up the leaderboard for a tie for 40th place.
The Rattlers await the NCAA Regional Championships. St. Mary's is currently ranked fourth in the West region. The selection release will come out on Aprul 26.
