TROPHY CLUB, Texas – The St. Mary's Women's Golf team picked up another top-five finish this week at the Lion Invitational at the Trophy Club Country Club. The tournament was reduced to 36 holes due to inclement weather. The Rattler carded a two-round total of 631 (322-309) to finish in fourth place.
Monica Dibildox continues to play good golf as the graduate transfer shot 75-73 (148) to finish in second place, just two strokes off the lead. Dibildox led the field in par four scoring, finish two-over for the tournament. Dibildox recorded 24 pars and four birdies.
Rebecca Reed finished in a tie for 18th place, shooting 158 (81-77). She climbed eight spots up the leaderboard from the first round to the second.
Maria Ferrer carded a 15-over 159 (81-78) to finish in 24th.
Sofia Ruescas shot 166 (85-81) to finish tied for 46th while
Estelle Beck shot 168 (85-83) to finish in a tie for 49th place.
St. Mary's has moved up to No. 6 in the latest Golfstat Rankings.
The Rattlers will return to action on April 5 and 6 as they travel to Fort Smith, Arkansas to play in the UAFS Invitational at Hardscrabble Country Club.
