WICHITA FALLS, Texas – The St. Mary's Women's Golf team played three rounds of consistent golf at the Midwestern State Invitational on Monday and Tuesday. The Rattlers fired a three-round total of 908 (304-303-301) to finish in second place, just four strokes behind the tournament champions, Oklahoma Christian.
After a tough second round,
Monica Dibildox bounced back to shoot an even 72 in the final round. The graduate transfer carded three birdies and 12 pars during her final round. Dibildox finished in a tie for third-place with a three-round total of 227 (73-82-72).
Rebecca Reed finished in a tie for sixth-place with a 228 (76-77-75). Reed finished the tournament with seven birdies and led the field in par three scoring, with a 2.88 average.
Estelle Beck finished in ninth-place, firing a 229 (78-75-76). Beck finished with 23 pars, third most in the field.
Carding a 231 (77-76-78),
Sofia Ruescas finished in 11th place. Ruescas had eight birdies over three rounds.
Jordyn Wray shot 239 (84-75-80) to finish in 26th place. Wray was second in the field in par five scoring, averaging 4.88 strokes per hole. Wray finished one-under on par fives for the tournament.
St. Mary's will return to the links on Monday as they participate in the in the Lion Invitational at Trophy Club Country Club in Commerce, Texas.
