SAN ANTONIO — "Senior Spotlight" is a series of profiles on our student athletes whose spring seasons were cut short this year, and did not get the chance to be recognized as they normally would be in their final season. The NCAA recently granted an extra year of eligibility to student-athletes in spring sports who lost a year due to the Coronavirus, but we will still honor all of our seniors.Â
Our final feature is on Women's Golfer Haleigh Jordan, from San Antonio. She attended Johnson High School and Stephen F. Austin State University before transferring to St. Mary's for her sophomore year. She played in 40 total rounds over 18 tournaments in her Rattler career, and finished in the Top 25 at the St. Edward's Invitational both her sophomore and junior seasons. She also finished in the Top 25 in her only tournament as a senior, the Tarleton State Invitational, where she fired a career-best 72 in the opening round.Â
"College golf is one of the most unique experiences," said Jordan. "You learn great life lessons and get to travel to unforgettable places."
Her parents are Tami and Carl, and she has one sister, Madi. She is majoring in finance and risk management.
