Rattlers win West Texas A&M Spring Invite

TUCSON, Arizona — For the second year in a row, the St. Mary's Rattlers have won the West Texas A&M Desert Invite.
 
Behind a final round 69 from Maria Regina Gonzalez, the Rattlers claimed a share of the team title, along with hosts West Texas A&M, posting a combined score of 600 for the tournament.
 
Gonzalez would be named to the All-Tournament team after claiming second on the individual leaderboard.
 
Kelly Contreras earned a top-10 finish with a final round 76 as Paige Weiss and Sofia Ruescas each posted a 77 on Day 2 to end the week tied for 15th.
 
The Rattlers will now prepare for the Heartland Conference Tournament set to begin on April 22 in Horseshoe Bay, Texas.
