Rattlers claim 2nd at Heartland Championships

HORSESHOE BAY, Texas — The Rattlers locked up a second-place finish at the Heartland Conference Championship on Tuesday.

Shooting 885 as a team, St. Mary's earned its fourth second-place finish of the season.

Earning a top-five finish, as well as a spot on the All-Tournament Team, Maria Regina Gonzalez carded a three-over par 75 to finish tied for fifth.

In her final appearance at the conference tournament, Kelly Contreras posted a one-under par 71. The senior finished tied for 10th on the individual leaderboard.

Sofia Ruescas fired a final round 75 to finish five-over par for the tournament, tied for seventh place.

A final round 74 from Paige Weiss and a 78 from Haleigh Jordan completed the St. Mary's scores.
