Tough final round leads to 3rd place finish for Rattlers

HOUSTON — St. Mary's Women's Golf ended the NCAA DII National Preview with a third place finish.
 
Entering the final round in first place, the Rattlers were led by Kelly Contreras who shot a final round 74 as she ended the tournament tied for fourth individually.
 
Paige Weiss and Sofia Ruescas each carded a 3-over par 75 in the final round while Ana Bonilla posted her best round of the tournament with a 78. Rounding out the Rattlers' five was Maria Regina Gonzalez who shot a final round 80.
 
The Rattlers will conclude the fall season on Oct. 9 at the DBU Fall Invitational.
