Rattlers finish 7th at UIndy Invitational

CARMEL, Indiana — The first tournament of the season ended with St. Mary's Women's Golf finishing seventh at the University of Indy Invitational.
 
Led by Maria Regina Gonzalez, who carded final round 3-under par 69, the Rattlers moved up three spots in the 15 team field. She would finish tied for eighth on the individual leaderboard, shooting 149 through two rounds.
 
Senior Kelly Contreras followed her strong showing on Day 1 with a final round 76, finishing tied for 11th while Sofia Ruescas posted a 3-over par 75 to finish tied for 32nd.
 
Paige Weiss would improve on her first round score with a 79 on Day 2 as Ana Bonilla finished the tournament with an 83.
