Rattlers finish strong at St. Edward’s Spring Invitational

AUSTIN, Texas —St. Mary's Women's Golf finished the St. Edward's Spring Invitational with a strong 2nd round performance, placing 7th after firing a 622 for the tournament.
 
It was less than ideal conditions at the Onion Creek Club for the final round on Tuesday with temperatures in the 40s and winds reaching upwards to 40 mph.
 
Entering Tuesday tied for 31st, Kelly Contreras shot an even-par final round 72 to finish tied for 6th on the individual leaderboard.
 
Allison Howarth improved on her first round score, carding a final round 77, placing her tied for 28th as Paige Weiss moved up one spot on the leaderboard with a second round 80.
 
Next for the Rattlers, they will travel to Vallejo, California for the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout on Mar. 7.
