Rattlers finish 9th in UIndy Tournament

CARMEL, Indiana — On a near perfect day for golf at the Prairie View Golf Club, the final round of the University of Indianapolis Invitational saw St. Mary's Women's Golf finish ninth overall in its first tournament of the year.
 
Allison Howarth (R-Jr., San Antonio) led the Rattlers on the final day, shooting a 79 while Maria Regina Gonzalez (Fr., San Miguel, Mexico) finished her first collegiate outing shooting an 80, placing her 30th overall.
 
Along with Howarth, Kelly Contreras (So., San Antonio) and Paige Weiss (Fr., Huntsville, Texas) finished tied for 37th in the tournament.
 
The women will be back on the links on Sept. 21 as they begin the Western New Mexico Invitational.
