Allison Howarth (RS-Fr., San Antonio) often leads as the Rattlers' top golfer and she proved it again in the final round of the Dallas Baptist Golf Classic Tuesday, finishing with a career-best second place.
Howarth's Top 3 finish is the best on her career and also the Rattlers' best individual finish this season.
The skilled Howarth finished tied for second place after shooting a 77 and 76 in the tournament's two rounds, four strokes behind first place finisher Sharon Lau of Tarleton State.
On the season, Howarth's career-best finish is her second career Top 5 finish and fourth career Top 10 finish.
As a team, the Rattlers remained the No. 6 team in the nine-team tournament, finishing with a team stroke count of 658.
Tarleton State won the DBU Golf Classic with a team stroke count of 625 followed by Midwestern State and Dallas Baptist.
Haley Keller (So., Pflugerville, Texas) also broke into the Top 10, tying for 10
th place with a final stroke count of 160 in her second career Top 10 finish.
The DBU Golf Classic marked the Rattlers' regular-season finale as they tee off in the Heartland Conference Tournament starting Mon., April 21 in Horseshoe Bay, Texas at the Slick Rock Golf Club.
