AUSTIN, Texas — St. Mary's Women's Golf moved up a spot in Tuesday's final round of the St. Edward's Invitational, as junior
Bailey Furgeson climbed into the top 15 with a strong final day.
Furgeson fired a 77 to tie for 15
th place, leading St. Mary's to tie for eighth as a team at its second competition of the spring semester. Furgeson shot a 156 for the tournament to help the Rattlers shoot 655 as a team.
Allison Howarth carded the Rattlers' best score in the final round with a 76 to finish tied for 25
th place, shooting 161 over two rounds.
Daryn Petermann shot 168 at the St. Edward's Invitiational, while
Haley Keller and
Heather Wedige each shot 170.
Host St. Edward's won the tournament, shooting 623 as a team. CSU-East Bay's Linda Brown took the individual title, shooting 147 spurred by Tuesday's even-par 71.
