DALLAS — St. Mary's
Daryn Petermann carved out an impressive top-10 finish at the Heartland Conference Championship.
Petermann (So., Comfort, Texas) shot a second-round 83 Tuesday, finishing with a two-round total of 156 to help lead the Rattlers to a fourth-place finish as a team in its final match of the season.
St. Mary's entered the final round in fourth and held on to its positioning, as all four Rattlers whose scores counted posted scores in the 80s.
Dallas Baptist's Mercedes Rios won the individual title after shooting 143 and led the Patriots to the team title with a team score of 596.
Julia Dickens (Sr., Fredericksburg, Texas) carded an 83 Tuesday for a total score of 163, placing 13th overall in the tournament. Cami Furgeson (Sr., Newcastle, Calif.) improved upon Monday's 87 with an 85 to finish 20th, while
Bailey Furgeson (So., Newcastle, Calif.) shot 88 to finish 22nd. Adela E. Rodriguez (Sr., Monterrey, Mexico) placed 27th with a tournament score of 181.
