INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — After a one-year hiatus, the St. Mary's University Softball team is making its return to the NCAA South Central Regional for the 19th time since 2001.

The Rattlers (30-22) earned the eight-seed in the loaded region, and will face No. 6 and top-seeded Colorado Christian in the first game on Thursday, May 14 at 1 p.m. (CT)/Noon (MT).

Lone Star Conference foes UT Tyler and Oklahoma Christian make up the other two teams in the region, and the four schools will play a double-elimination bracket for the right to advance to the NCAA Super Regionals, which start on May 21. The finals will be held May 28-June 3 at Frost Stadium at Warner Park and will be hosted by Lee University, the University of North Georgia and Chattanooga, Tennessee.

St. Mary's is 38-26 all-time in the NCAA Regionals and has won the event six times (2002, 2003, 2005, 2014, 2015 and 2016) and won the 2002 National Championship.
