LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Rawlings Sporting Goods Company, Inc. revealed the nine recipients of the 2026 NCAA Division II Rawlings Gold Glove Award, presented by the NFCA, on Thursday, and St. Mary's University Ariella Saenz was named the winner at pitcher.

Saenz, a senior right-handed pitcher from Pharr, Texas, is the first-ever recipient of the prestigious award in St. Mary's history. She helped lead the team to a 31-24 overall record and an appearance in the NCAA South Central Regional. She had 54 chances in the circle without making an error, with three putouts and 51 assists. Saenz also ranks second in the Lone Star in games started (28) and innings pitched (175.1), third in shutouts (4) and fourth in fewest walks allowed per seven innings (1.68). The two-way player for the Rattlers also finished second in the league and 30th nationally in toughest to strike out, doing so only three times in 115 plate appearances.

Recipients of the Rawlings Gold Glove Award, presented by the NFCA, were selected by the NFCA's NCAA Division II All-America Committee, following regional voting to identify the finalists at each position. The group utilized fielding statistics and school-submitted videos to closely examine finalists and select the winners at every defensive position. Any student-athlete who competed in the current championship year and was nominated by their head coach, who is a member in good standing with the NFCA, was eligible for consideration for this prestigious accolade.
