Paquette Earns Lone Star Golfer of the Week

4/2/2026 1:15:00 PM

RICHARDSON, Texas — For the second time this season and the third time in his career, St. Mary's University sophomore Guillaume Paquette has been named the Lone Star Conference Men's Golfer of the Week.

In a tournament field that included seven of the top-10 Division II, Paquette led St. Mary's to a third-place tie at the Argonaut Invitational as he finished tied for fourth on the individual leaderboard.

Paquette shot a par 72 course career-low 66 in the final round to jump up 10 spots into fourth. The sophomore opened the tournament with sub-par rounds of 71 and 70. It is the second time this season Paquette has recoded all three rounds under par (Skip Wagnon Invite, Oct. 6-7), and he finished better than 25 players ranked ahead of him in the Division II national player rankings.

He was also named LSC Golfer of the Week on Sept. 18, 2025, for his performance at the Travis Roy Memorial, and on April 10, 2025, after winning the Battle at Riverhill.

The Rattlers have won five Golfer of the Week honors this season, as Kongpop Kaikaew earned the honor on Oct. 9 and Oct. 30, and Baptiste Touchard brought home the award on Feb. 12.
