Lefebvre Earns Lone Star Golfer of the Week Honors

RICHARDSON, Texas — Playing in a field loaded with Division I talent, St. Mary's University sophomore Sabree Lefebvre finished eighth at the Texas State Invitational, earning Lone Star Conference Golfer of the Week honors on Thursday.
 
Lefebvre, a sophomore from Riverview, Fla., shot a one-under-par 215 (73-70-72) for the 36-hole tournament at Landa Park Municipal Golf Course. It betters her previous career-low total of 226 from last season's Lone Star Conference Tournament and was the top Division II score by seven strokes.
 
It is the first weekly award of Lefebvre's career, and the first for the Rattlers this season.
 
St. Mary's will compete in the Southern Invite on Feb. 16-17 in Spring, Texas, at the Cypresswood Golf Club for the second tournament of the spring season.
