AUSTIN, Texas – St. Mary's University Women's Golfer
Libby Kilbride was today named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America First Team.
Kilbride becomes only the fifth First Team selection in St. Mary's history, and she's the third to earn Academic All-America honors twice in her career, as she was voted to the Second Team a year ago.
Kilbride graduated in May with a bachelor's degree in communications and maintained a perfect 4.00 GPA throughout her collegiate career. She earned Lone Star Conference Scholar-Athlete status and was named the Academic Golfer of the Year by the league. On the links, she was an All-American honorable mention by the WGCA in her senior campaign. She finished in the top 25 in 10 of the team's 11 tournaments in 2024-25 and finished fourth on the school's single-season stroke-average list with 74.00 strokes per round. Her career average of 74.81 strokes per round ranks third, and she is tied for second with seven rounds in the 60s throughout her three years with the Gold and Blue. In addition, Kilbride also won the prestigious St. Mary's Presidential Award, one of 16 students awarded on campus.
The Division II at-large teams honored 45 student-athletes, with eight members of the first team holding perfect 4.00 GPAs. A total of 16 of the 45 members have 4.00 GPAs either as an undergraduate or a graduate student. The 15-member first team has a 3.93 cumulative GPA.
The Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Division II Academic All-America® program.
The at-large teams are made up of student-athletes from beach volleyball, bowling, crew, fencing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, and water polo at the NCAA level.
