BOULDER CITY, Nev. — Coming off one of the most impressive seasons in St. Mary's University history, Women's Golfer
Savannah Dupre has been named to the WGCA Division II All-American First Team, while she and
Libby Kilbride were honored on the West All-Region Team, the association announced Thursday night at the NCAA Championship.
Dupre, a sophomore from Boerne, Texas, is ranked 11th in the Scoreboard Powered by clippd rankings. She won both the Rattler Invitational and the Lone Star Conference Championship this season and finished in the top 10 in six other events. Dupre breaks the St. Mary's single-season record for stroke average at 73.03, surpassing the previous record of 73.64 by Maria Regina Gonzalez from 2018-19.
Dupre becomes the third First-Team All-American in school history, joining Jillian Wyne (2003) and Gonzalez (2019). It is also the second-straight season she has earned WGCA All-Region honors, becoming the third Rattler to earn multiple region honors, along with Gonzalez (2017-2019) and Sofia Ruescas (2019, 2021).
Kilbride, a senior from Sheffield, England, joined Dupre on the All-Region team. Kilbride placed in the top 25 in 10 of the team's 11 tournaments this season, averaging 74 strokes per round. She led the team with five rounds in the 60s and collected a team-high four eagles. Her 74-stroke average ties for the fourth-lowest in school history, and she ranks 36th nationally in the Scoreboard rankings.
Both Dupre and Kilbride were honorable mention All-American selections by the WGCA a season ago.
