Four from Women's Golf Earn All-Conference Honors

4/20/2025 8:46:00 PM

ROCKWALL, Texas — Finishing in the top five in all nine tournaments, including three titles, it is no surprise for many that the No. 9 St. Mary's University Women's Golf team had four selections to the Lone Star All-Conference teams, announced Sunday evening at the pre-championship banquet at the Rockwall Golf and Athletic Club.

Libby Kilbride, a senior from Sheffield, England, was named the Lone Star Conference Academic Golfer of the Year. She becomes the second straight Rattler to win the award after Rebecca Reed earned the honor in 2023 and 2024. Kilbride was also voted to the All-Academic team in 2024. She also earns Lone Star All-Conference First Team honors for the second straight season, becoming only the second two-time First Team pick in St. Mary's history, joining Sofia Ruescas (2020, 2022). Kilbride has finished in the top 25 in all nine tournaments this season, with five of those being in the top 10. She has a 73.67 stroke average and has eight rounds (of 24) at par or better.

Joining Kilbride on the First Team is sophomore Savannah Dupre (Boerne, Texas). Dupre leads the team with 10 rounds of par or better and has finished inside the top 10 in six of nine tournaments. She has been the top placer on the team five times, including individual medalist honors at the Rattler Invitational after shooting a six-under-par 210 (69-69-72). Dupre was a Second-Team selection a season ago as a freshman. This year, she averages 73.38 strokes per round and four times has posted a round in the 60s.

Earning All-Conference Second Team honors are both senior Orla O'Leary (Galashiels, Scotland) and sophomore Taylor Wilczek (Anthem, Ariz.).

O'Leary has placed inside the top 25 in seven tournaments this season, and led the team in scoring three times. She won the Jack Brown Memorial Invitational to kick off the spring campaign with a two-round total of 152 (75-77). She averages 75.08 strokes per round and has two rounds at par or better this year.

Wilczek, who was a freshman All-American a season ago at the NAIA level, continues to terrorize the links, earning Second Team honors. In eight tournaments this season, she's placed inside the top 25 in seven of them, and sports a 75.57 stroke per round average. Wilczek has posted two rounds in the 60s and five at par or better (of 21).

All four golfers are ranked inside the top 100 in the Scoreboard Powered by Clippd rankings. Dupre is #14, while Kilbride is #29, O'Leary is #83 and Wilczek is #97. The Rattlers are currently No. 3 in the region and No. 9 nationally.

St. Mary's won the Jack Brown Memorial Tournament, the Rattler Invitational, and wrapped up the spring by winning the WT Desert Invite. They are looking for the first-ever Lone Star Conference Championship, which begins on Monday at 8:30 a.m.
