RICHARDSON, Texas — St. Mary's University sophomore
Savannah Dupre has been named the Lone Star Conference Golfer of the Week, the league announced on Thursday. She is the second golfer this spring to earn the honor, joining
Orla O'Leary.
Dupre, a sophomore from Boerne, Texas, carded an even-par 72 in the final round of the Rattler Invitational to win her second career tournament and lead St. Mary's to the team title. Dupre opened with back-to-back rounds of 69, closed with a 72 for a three-round 210, and claimed the title by six strokes. The sophomore was the only player in the field to shoot under par, shooting four-under-par in par-4 scoring and five-under in par-5 scoring.
This is the second weekly award of Dupre's career, as she also earned it last fall after winning the Midwestern State Invitational.
