RICHARDSON, Texas — For the third time this season, St. Mary's University junior Men's Golfer has been named the Lone Star Conference Golfer of the Week. It is also his second-straight weekly honor.
Kaikaew (Rayong, Thailand) continued his stellar start to the spring, getting better by three strokes each round to finish tied for second with a six-under-par 210 (73-70-67). The 67 tied for the low round during the two days, and he tied for the tournament lead in par-5 scoring, shooting eight-under for a 4.33 average. Kaikaew was also one of three athletes in the field to collect two eagles.
He helped the Rattlers win their second-consecutive tournament and climb six more spots in the Scoreboard Powered by Clippd rankings to #16. The Rattlers ended the fall season ranked #54 and have jumped 38 places in two weeks.
The Rattlers return to the links Mar. 2-4 at the Las Vegas Desert Classic, hosted by Missouri-St. Louis at the Boulder Creek Golf Club.
