SAN ANTONIO – The St. Mary's University had nine men's and nine women's tennis student-athletes named to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar-Athlete teams and both squads earned All-Academic Team status, the group announced Tuesday.

This is the 13th consecutive season the two teams have earned the prestigious status and the 15th time overall the teams have appeared on the list. To earn scholar-athlete status a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.5 GPA for both semesters and be eligible for the entire season. To garner team status, the Rattlers had to have a minimum of 3.2 and all letterwinners must factor into the cumulative GPA.

This is the fourth award for Faryniarz and Llosa, the third for Bowe, Irdoja, Koth and Soler and the second for Anton, Hauer and Baldor.

Godwin and Munoz both are on the team for the fourth time, while Preti earns her third award. Quiroz, Rodriguez, Sifuentes and Terlizzi are being named for the second-straight season.
