CANYON, Texas – At the annual Lone Star Conference pre-championship reception, the All-Conference teams were announced and St. Mary's University had five honored on the four teams.

Seniors
Ericka Gomez (Stafford, Texas) and
Reba Reyes (Brownsville, Texas) were both honored on the First Team and Reyes was also voted to the Golden Glove Team for the top defenders at their position.

Gomez is hitting .360 on the year and leads the team with 58 hits. She leads the Lone Star Conference with 0.24 sacrifice bunts per game and ranks as one of the hardest hitters in the nation to strike out.Â

Reyes ranks among the top 10 in 10 different statistical categories in the Lone Star, including second in slugging percentage (.719). She leads the team with a .370 batting average and has 13 doubles, four triples and 10 home runs.Â

Junior
Savannah Youngblood (Kingwood, Texas) was honored by the league's coaches on the Second Team. She is 10-3 on the year with a 2.37 ERA and has four saves, which tie for sixth all-time at St. Mary's.

Senior left fielder
Lauren Gonzales (San Antonio) was named to the third team. She leads the Lone Star Conference in stolen bases with 36 and is hitting .320 on the season.Â

Gabriela Banda (San Antonio) was voted to the league's All-Freshman team. Banda has split time at first base and designated player. She has seven doubles, one home run and has drawn 18 walks.Â

The Rattlers open the Lone Star Conference Championship on Friday, May 3 against Oklahoma Christian at 1:30 p.m.
