First Pitch

•    After the Rattlers went 5-1 on their latest home stand, they head out on the road to take on Texas A&M International on Saturday and Sunday. The Dustdevils are 5-17 overall and 2-10 in league action, dropping nine straight.

•    Both Jadyn Abrego and Madeline Bloom pitched complete game shutouts on Tuesday against rival, St. Edward's. Savannah Youngblood came on in relief in game three and retired 17 consecutive, allowing only one hit in 6 1/3.

•    The Rattlers rank second in the Lone Star Conference and fourth in the nation in walks drawn with 85, trailing WT's 101.

•    The pitching staff held St. Edward's to just 3-for-22 with runners on base during the three-game series.

•    Senior centerfielder Reba Reyes currently ranks seventh in St. Mary's history in hit by pitches with 15 and moved up into a tie for sixth all-time with nine sacrifice flies.

•    St. Mary's currently ranks 28th in the nation in doubles with 28 and 22nd in the nation with 144 hits.
