Trio From STUNT Earn All-American Honors

SAN ANTONIO – The College STUNT Coaches Association (CSCA) has announced its All-Americans for the 2023 season and St. Mary's had three student-athletes honored in its first year of competition.
 
Yanelle Nicholson (Alex) earned First-Team honors, while Sanaa Johnson was tabbed to the Second Team and Alecka Brown garnered honorable mention honors. All three student-athletes are from nearby Helotes, Texas and have been friends since they were young. Nicholson and Brown both attended O'Connor High School, while Johnson graduated from Brandeis.
 
To be eligible for All-American honors, athletes must participate in all four quarters of play, participate in at least 50 percent of the team's games played and be vital components to the team's success and power rankings.
 
The trio of Rattlers helped the first-year program reach the National Championships, be ranked No. 7 in the nation and go 5-6 overall with a 4-2 record in Southwest Conference action.
