• St. Mary's is the seventh-seed in the NCAA South Central Region, advancing to the tournament for the 17th time in the team's 23 years in Division II. The Rattlers open play against #7 Colorado Christian on Thursday in the first-ever game between the two schools.
• The Rattlers had six players earn honors by the Lone Star Conference as Catalina Cavazos, Ericka Gomez and Lauren Gonzales were on the first team, Jamison Holder was a third-team selection and both Emily Ayala and Raegan Tennill were on the freshman team.
• The Rattlers lead the Lone Star Conference and are 2nd in the NCAA statistics in sacrifice flies (28). The club also ranks second in the conference in double plays (20), sacrifice bunts (49), stolen bases (110) and walks drawn (198) - and all five statistics rank in the top 25 in the nation.
• StMU is 37-22 all-time in the NCAA Regionals and finished second last season after losing to Texas A&M Kingsville in the final game.
