• St. Mary's travels to Odessa to take on the UT Permian Basin Falcons on Thursday and Friday. The Rattlers are 40-3 all-time against the Falcons, which are 6-29 this season and 3-24 in Lone Star Conference play.
• St. Mary's dropped to ninth place in the Lone Star Conference standings with a 13-15 record. The Falcons are 14th with their league record of 3-24.
• St. Mary's is currently 8-7 against teams that made the NCAA Tournament last year. The Rattlers have six games left on the schedule against 2022 tournament squads, including three against College World Series participant UT Tyler.
• The Rattlers lead the Lone Star Conferencee statistics in both double plays (17) and sacrifice flies (20). The club also ranks second in the conference in stolen bases (81) and sacrifice bunts (39) - and all four statistics rank in the top 25 in the nation.
