OKLAHOMA CITY – The St. Mary's STUNT team had the best day of its inaugural season, winning a pair of lopsided games at the Oklahoma City Tournament defeating Texas Woman's 18-6 and Buena Vista 15-2.

The Rattlers are now 3-4 on the year and 2-2 in Southwest Conference play after the 2-1 weekend.

StMU hosts the St. Mary's Invitational on March 18, rematching with both Texas Woman's (1 p.m.) and UT Tyler (3 p.m.). The two squads will face each other at 2 p.m.

TEXAS WOMAN'S RECAP
The Rattlers were awarded a point in all four routines of the first quarter and never looked back, defeating Southwest Conference foe TWU 18-6.

The Pioneers closed the gap to two points in the second quarter, winning two of the three points awarded to make the score 5-3, but the Rattlers won three of the four routines in the third quarter and exploded for 10 of the 12 points given in the final stanza.

It was the first time this season the Gold & Blue didn't lose a point in the fourth quarter and the second time (UT Tyler) they won four points in the opening period.

BUENA VISTA RECAP
St. Mary's kept the momentum going in the afternoon match, defeating Buena Vista 15-2.

The Rattlers pitched a shutout in the first half, winning both points in the first quarter and all three in the second stanza for the 5-0 advantage.

The Beavers broke onto the scoreboard, winning the second point of the third quarter. They also won the second point of the second routine in the fourth quarter, but StMU scored eight in the final period for the lopsided victory.
